- The DiskFan® is a superior ceiling mounted air circulator.
- The DiskFan® is both a revolutionary ceiling fan and an attractive light fixture.
- The DiskFan® is designed to discharge the air stream outward in a radial direction, parallel to the ceiling where it entrains the adjacent room's air, causing it to circulate slowly.
- The DiskFan® produces an ideal air circulation pattern in a 350 sq.ft. room.
- The DiskFan® recirculates 100% of the room's air through the ceiling fan's foam filter.
- The DiskFan®'s air circulation pattern creates a uniform temperature from the floor to the ceiling.
- The DiskFan® provides draft-free air circulation so you can comfortably sleep in your bedroom.
- The DiskFan® will mix the hot or cold air from the room's supply duct with the room air to eliminate cold floors and hot ceilings.
- The DiskFan® does not cause annoying down drafts found in passive ventilation systems or by a conventional ceiling fan.
- The DiskFan® is available with 0 to 8 lights in copper, bronze, brass, pewter, silver, white and black powder coating. The foam filter is light tan. The fan section is white.
- The DiskFan® ceiling fan is used in homes, offices, restaurants, shops, factories, and many other places that need improved air circulation.
- The DiskFan® can be attached to any standard ceiling electrical outlet box that is secured to the building frame with two #8x3/4" screws. The maximum weight of the 8 light DiskFan® is 20 pounds and it produces no mechanical vibration.
- The DiskFan® has a two speed motor controlled by a pull chain switch.
- The DiskFan® has a separate pull chain switch for the 2 to 8 lamps when they are installed.
- The DiskFan®'s light fixture base and fitters are made from heavy spun aluminum. The ceiling fan frame is made from heavy polycarbonate plastic. The resilient motor support and suspension system are made from electro-galvanized steel.
- The DiskFan®'s light fixture has standard 2.25 inch fitters for the installation of standard glassware. The individual lamp sockets are rated at 60 watts maximum for incandescent or compact fluorescent lamps.
- Glassware for the 2.25 inch light fitters are available from this Company as well as many light fixture stores.
- There are no propeller blades on the DiskFan® to cause the light output to flicker as occurs with the obsolete propeller ceiling fans.
- The DiskFan® is UL listed and labeled.
- The DiskFan® requires a 115 volt 60 cycle power source. The current for the DiskFan® motor is 0.7 amps. The maximum current with 8 lamps is 4.6 amps.
- The DiskFan®'s noise level at 6 feet at full speed is 49.4 dba and 46.6 dba at 80% of full speed.
- The DiskFan® extends down from the ceiling 8.2". The top base of the ceiling fan at the ceiling has a diameter of 15.7". The outside diameter of the fixture glassware is approximately 26.2".
